Why this order
Luxor early, while you have energy, and Cairo in the middle, since you reach it by plane with no night bus. Aswan stays far: about 500 km from Hurghada, no direct train (Hurghada to Aswan). Day 9 is long: if you prefer, finish with a night in Luxor.
Bookable visits
- Luxor: Hurghada to Luxor with Valley of the Kings, Karnak and Tut's tomb; compare in Luxor from Hurghada.
- Cairo: full-day Cairo tour: citadel, Old Cairo, Khan el-Khalili; see Cairo by plane from Hurghada and Giza from Hurghada.
- Aswan: Aswan, Philae and the High Dam.
A shorter or calmer version
Without Cairo, keep 7 days: Hurghada in a week. To compare two Nile cities: Luxor or Aswan.
