What the sea is like in June
The water is at 26 °C, very pleasant (see sea temperature by month): no wetsuit needed. For a boat trip, see Orange Bay and Giftun Island. The wind that cools you also makes the sea choppier on some days, which matters for seasickness.
Where to sleep in June
Choose a hotel with verified air conditioning, a beach or shaded pool and, if possible, a nearby reef. See all-inclusive hotel, which area.
With children
Short outings, hat, sunglasses, factor 50 cream and constant water; avoid midday walks. See Hurghada with family.
Luxor and Cairo in June
The Luxor temples are very hot in June: leave very early or give up; see Luxor from Hurghada.
FAQ
Is Hurghada too hot in June? It is hot (about 35 °C) but the wind makes the coast bearable; it is the inland excursions that suffer.
Does it rain in June? Almost never. To compare, see weather by month and Hurghada in July.
