Our choice
- To swim without a wetsuit: May to November, with the best comfort from June to October.
- To dive in winter: plan a 5 mm wetsuit or a full suit; clubs lend or rent them (see introductory dive in Hurghada).
- To snorkel in winter: a shorty is enough for many people, as the air is mild; see snorkelling: which boat trip.
And the air?
In winter the air is cooler than the sea: 13°C at night in January. For the complete month-by-month see Hurghada weather by month and the best time to visit Hurghada.
