Paradise Island (also sold under the name Hula Hula) is a small island in the Giftun area, off Hurghada. Excursions stop there for a long break on a light-sand beach, between two snorkelling outings on coral reefs. It is a typical day at sea: shared boat, equipment lent, lunch served on site. The prices and times quoted are ranges found with tour operators in October 2026.
Highlights

The light-sand beach
A long strip of white sand borders transparent water, with no real village around. It is the place for swimming and lunch.

The boats at anchor
Excursion boats gather near the beach and drop visitors at the jetty or by wading. In the morning the place is quieter than at lunchtime.

Snorkelling on the reefs
Before or after lunch, the boats anchor over coral drop-offs: reef fish, hard and soft corals. Guides give safety instructions and keep the group together.

Tips
- Group offers found in October 2026 range from about 30 to 45 USD (or euros) per adult for a day of around 7 hours with lunch, drinks, mask, snorkel and life jacket; a private speedboat is much more expensive. One operator lists the national park fee (about 10 euros per person) and the coast guard fee (about 5 euros) separately, plus a transfer supplement of 10 to 15 euros from Soma Bay, El Gouna or Safaga: ask for the final price. Children often get a reduced rate depending on age. Bring a towel, sunglasses, reef-safe sunscreen, cash and a copy of your passport. Do not touch the coral or feed the fish.
How to get there
By boat only, from the Hurghada marina or another harbour in the city; allow about 30 to 45 minutes to cross to Giftun Soraya depending on the weather. The hotel transfer is usually included in Hurghada; for neighbouring resorts, check the supplement when booking.
