The rules to know
| Question | What we know |
|---|---|
| Who can enter? | Foreigners only; casinos are in licensed 4 or 5-star hotels approved by the tourism ministry, no stand-alone casinos |
| Which document? | Your original passport, not a photocopy |
| What age? | Sources disagree (18 or 21): ask the venue, many apply 21 |
| Dress and hours? | Smart dress is usually expected; hours are set by each hotel, often evenings and night, to be confirmed |
Which hotels?
- A tour operator listing mentions a casino in the Titanic resort, and an undated guide talks of a large casino in an InterContinental hotel: I could not verify that they are open in 2026.
- Not every big resort advertises its gaming room: ask your hotel's front desk whether there is one on site or in a neighbouring hotel.
- Online gambling and betting are not covered by this guide and are not encouraged.
An evening without gambling
If the casino is not the point, evenings are better spent on a boat, at a marina restaurant or in the bars of Sheraton Road. See going out in Hurghada at night and, for the country's rules, before you go: laws and prohibitions.
Where to sleep
Pick a hotel you can return to on foot or by hotel taxi: compare Hurghada hotels on Booking, with free cancellation.
Frequently asked questions

Yes if they are a foreigner and show their passport; Egyptians are turned away.
Is there a dress code?
Plan on decent clothes, no shorts or flip-flops in the evening; each hotel sets its own rules.
