Hurghada Grand Aquarium: opening hours, ticket price and species (2026)

Updated on October 18, 2026

The Hurghada Grand Aquarium, "Red Sea in Glass", is a large indoor aquarium in the south of the town, on the road to Magawish village, between the Mercure and Rixos hotels. It offers an underwater tunnel with more than 1,200 animals, a rainforest with birds and reptiles, a mini zoo, a "whales valley" with a replica Basilosaurus and a sound-and-light show, as well as shark feeding. It is the easiest sea-themed outing on days when diving or boat trips are impossible, for example in strong wind. Allow two to three hours.
