Choosing in three questions
- Where do you stay? In the north (centre, Sheraton Road): the Jungle Aqua Park, as a trip arranged by your hotel or an agency. In the south (Makadi Bay, Sahl Hasheesh): Makadi Water World is closer. The transfer to Makadi is paid extra (taxi or hotel service), especially from Soma Bay, El Gouna or Safaga.
- How old are the children? Each slide has a minimum height shown at the entrance; for the youngest, look for the calm pools. Very cheap listings aimed at little ones have lower ratings (around 2.8 to 3.8 out of 5): read the reviews.
- How long? Makadi Water World is advertised for about 7 hours, with a midday break when slides close according to an older listing (to be checked); the Jungle Aqua Park for half a day to a full day.
Makadi Water World: the fullest park
The biggest park of Makadi Bay advertises more than 35 slides and 14 outdoor pools according to resellers (some listings count more; the figure varies). Entry includes soft drinks and snacks according to the listing, with no transfer or lunch: plan your own journey. See also Makadi Bay for the hotels of the bay.
Jungle Aqua Park: the easiest outing
The Jungle Aqua Park belongs to the Pickalbatros chain. We no longer find an offer with transfer through our partner (checked on 20 October 2026): ask your hotel or a local agency for a trip with transport, and compare the price before paying.
Titanic and Albatros: guests first
The Titanic Aqua Park and the Albatros Aqua Park are visited first with a room in the hotel. A day ticket is not always sold; beware of listings with no price or clear address (one placed the Albatros in Sharm el-Sheikh): check before paying. If you choose your hotel for its park, see where to stay in Hurghada and all-inclusive in Hurghada.
Good to know before going
- Safety: respect minimum heights, rules and queues; children must not be left alone in the water.
- Sun: shade is scarce; sunscreen, UV top, water shoes.
- Money: keep some cash for extras; towels, lockers and photos may be charged.
- Alternatives: for a windy or very hot day, what to do in Hurghada when it rains and Hurghada with family; for calmer water, the Grand Aquarium.
FAQ
Can you go to a water park without staying there? Yes, for Makadi Water World and the Jungle Aqua Park, by ticket or trip; not always for the hotel parks.
Which park for young children? Check the shallow pools and minimum heights in the listing; no park replaces parental supervision.
Are the parks open in winter? Unheated pools are cool from November to February; the Albatros advertises a heated pool. Check that slides are open.
Do you need to book ahead? Outside school holidays, same day is often possible; free cancellation depends on the offer.
